Passed away peacefully at his home in Bruce Mines with his wife and daughter at his side.

Survived by his loving wife Barbara Bordeleau (Phillips). Father of David (Denyse) Bordeleau, Denise (Dan) Holditch and cherished father-in-law of the late Stephanie Bordeleau. Proud Papa of Nathan Holditch (Kristen Desjardins), Mariah (Brennan) Andersen, Kayla Bordeleau, Rachael Bordeleau (Dylan Alton) and Deanna Bordeleau (James Tulloch). Adored Old Papa of Gunnar and Haelyn Andersen.

Son of the late Alex and Anna Bordeleau and son-in-law of the late Russel and Ines Phillips. Survived by his brothers Paul, Larry, Carl Bordeleau, sister Evelyn (late Frank) Sherrington and he was greeted at heaven's gate by his late siblings Alex (Mable) Bordeleau, Rose Mary (Art) McKinnon, Alan (Grace) Bordeleau, Andre (Beatrice) Bordeleau, and his baby brother Richard. Adored brother-in-law to Darlene (late Sunny) Sherwood, Peggy (Jim) Strum, John (Dale) Phillips, Patsy (Ed) Golec, and the late Becky Breckin, Roger Phillips, and baby Pamela Phillips.

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, and sorely missed playing his guitar around the campfires and playing Texas horseshoes (known as the eliminator) at Windmill campground. Herb was well known as a kindhearted gentleman, for the spark in his eyes, friendly smile, and very highly respected by his family, friends and coworkers.

Herb was born and raised in Blind River, Ontario. In his late teens he moved to Portlock, Ontario to help his brother Alex on the dairy farm. A few years later, he met the love of his life Barb and started a family. Herb and Barb built their lives in Bruce Mines and just recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He spent most of his adult years logging with his horses along side his brother Andre. He loved to play his guitar, hobby farming and taking his horses to the horse pulls.

Visitation will be held at the Free Methodist Church on St. Joseph Island (1589 Hilton Rd, Hilton Beach, Ontario) on Sunday, May 28, 2023, from 2:00-4:00, with a service at 4:00 and inurnment at Cloudslee Cemetery at 7:00.
