Passed away at home, age 87. Beloved husband of Arlene (nee Reid) for 66 years. Loving father of Barry (Cheryl), Pattie Oja (Mark) and David. Proud Papa of Becky (Shawn), Racheal, Jonathan, Eric (Laura), Dana, Ericka (Drew), Daryl (Dave) and Katie (Cory). Great grandfather of Gage, Jake, Grace, Bennett, Brenner, Emerson, Audrey, Scarlett, David, Eli and Alice. Lovingly remembered by his brother Orville (Arline) and sister in laws Barbara Desaulniers (late Andy) and Shirley Frazier (late Wayne) as well as brother in laws Wayne Reid (Linda) and Bobby Reid (Anne). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and neighbours. Son of the late John and late Alma (nee Arbour) Bondarenko.
Ernest was a Sergeant with the O.P.P for 33 years. He served with many detachments throughout Northern Ontario retiring from Thessalon in 1985. He loved his motorcycle and farming. He will be sadly missed by Arlene.

Cremation has taken place and per Ernest’s wishes, there are no services.
