Edward Birkinshaw passed away peacefully at the General Hospital on Tuesday, July 9, 2002, in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Kent) and the late Louise Catherine (nee Johnson). Dear father of Keith (Marian). Grandfather of Wendy, Gordon (Ariel) and Lorna. Great grandfather of Nathaniel. Brother of Leslie (Pam). Brother-in-law of Muriel and the late Gordon Slinn, Frieda and the late Hubert Kent and the late Lillian Johnson. Remembered by many nieces and nephews in England. Friends may call at the James Harten M. M. Community Legion Hall, Richards Landing, on Tuesday, July 16, from 1:00 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. with the Venerable Hugh Hamilton officiating. Interment at York Cemetery, Toronto. Memorial contributions to Matthews Memorial Hospital Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family.
