February 16, 1965 - June 7, 2023

“And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love, you make…” we had a magical beginning and a sparkling middle and some of the most memorable experiences of a lifetime.

Today, Angelisa along with Mario’s daughter Amber Bigras (Mason) and Angelisa’s children Deryl Mills (Stephanie) and Deralise Senecal (Ian) are sad to announce the passing of Mario Bigras (1965-2023) after a courageous battle with cancer. Mario slipped away quietly and peacefully at home with the love of his life by his side, just as he wanted.

Predeceased by his parents Luciene and Maurice and brother Robert (Debbie), Mario is survived by siblings Guy (Chris), Carole (Jean Yves Gauthier), Joanne King (Chuck), Gerry (Brenda), Marc (Jean), Linda (Denis Lecompte) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Love permeated Mario’s life and his greatest priority was his family. Mario had a passion for many things but mostly being a Dad to Amber with whom his fondest memories included camping, fishing, bug collecting and many, many more.

Mario’s favourite job was being “George” to his grandchildren Brooke and Brynlee Mills along with Drew and Dallas Senecal—it was a role he honoured and embraced with appreciation, fun and pure joy.

Mario’s “joie de vie” was demonstrated in his baseball years, pickerel fishing, golf, joking around with anyone he could, and thinking he could sing! Mario was the Montreal Canadien’s biggest fan, rarely missing a game on tv.

Mario genuinely enjoyed the customers, always looking forward to greeting them making them happy and full at Absolutely Delicious. He took a sincere interest in the lives of our regular customers and sought to ensure they had the best service and memorable experience whether they came in for take-out, coffee, or a meal.

Many times, during his battle he would say “we have the best customers and staff” and from his heart was thankful for each and everyone of you.

Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to Tracy’s Dream (Payable online or by cheque).

We will forever adore and remember you—we will stand taller and stronger knowing you are watching over us.

Until we meet again.
