July 22, 1932 – Dec. 2, 2019 — We are saddened to announce the passing of our father Ray at the age of 87 while at Golden Birches Terrace. He joins his beloved wife Alice (nee Miron) who predeceased him in 2010. Survived by his sons Keith, Mike and Dale (Ariel). He will be missed by his many brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by siblings Ella, Muriel, Pete, Hank, Alphonse and Kenny as well as many sisters and brothers in law.

As a younger man Ray, a.k.a “Bully” made a lot of friends through his work at Rio Algom Mine and by playing hockey and fastball with different teams from Blind River. He was a diehard Montreal Canadiens fan who never missed a game on TV. Remembered for his excellent work ethic, his great pitching skills, his love of the Habs and his great sense of humour, he will be missed by many.

The family wishes to thank the staff of NSHN-Blind River and Golden Birches Terrace for their thoughtful and hard work in caring for our father.
Per Raymond’s wishes there will be no service at this time. A celebration of his life will be announced and held a later date.
