(May 14, 1966 to May 16, 2019) - It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Jason Van Bergeron of Woodstock, Ontario. Jason passed away peacefully at the age of 53 on May 16, 2019 surrounded by his family.

“God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around you and whispered Come to Me.”

Jason was many things to many people.
Loving son of Sharon Bergeron (deceased 2002) and Laurent Bergeron (Jackie Patrie).
Amazing brother to Mark (Maria) Bergeron, Sherri (Brian) Charles, Lance (Sherry Lindsey) Bergeron, and Brandee Bergeron
P. J.  to Kelsey and Taylor Bergeron. Jason was their Uncle, but more importantly he was their older brother, second father, instigator and protector.
Special Uncle to Brittany (Mike) Berry, Briane, Elijah, Joah, and Gabrielle Charles, and Great Uncle to Charlotte Berry. Jason was always present and available to all his nieces and nephews.  He helped influence and shape them into who they are today. He embraced each and every one of them to be who they are and follow their dreams.
Great friend to Bill Kozak and Amy Russell, as well as Pamela Moss and Karl Krenn.
Nephew and Cousin, Jason will be missed by many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Volunteer: Jason enjoyed his time with Youth Quest where he had the opportunity to love, mentor and encourage many youth in the community.
Traveller: anyone who knew Jason understood his passion to see many places and immerse himself with the people and culture of that country.  He travelled throughout Canada, the United States, Europe and Africa with his most favorite and life changing being Turkey.  He formed long lasting and loving relationships with his adopted family in Turkey.

The family would like to thank:
Dr. Winquest and his team at LHSC for his positive and reassuring care for Jason.
Special thanks to the nursing staff of the oncology 7th floor at LHSC.
