BENOIT, Ed

You can never say he was a quitter,  he fought 'til the bitter end.  He was brave and selfless but the cancer just grew too strong.  Ed was an amazing father, loving his children with all he had. As a husband Amanda could not have dreamt up a more perfect match.   He was a kind and loving son, brother and uncle.  As a friend he went above and beyond.  The world lost a beautiful light but it will continue to shine on in the people he loved.  Our lives are forever changed for the better for having known him. 
I find you all around me, your presence fills my eyes with your love.  It humbles my heart for you are now Everywhere.
Valiantly at ARCH surrounded by family on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the age of 48.  Loving husband and soulmate of Amanda (nee Vanderleest).  Dedicated father of Ethan, Paige, Everett and step father to  Kassandra and William Bailey.  Beloved son of Ken and Donna.  Missed by big brother Paul.  Cherished uncle of Kayla and the late Kenny.  Special son in law to Bill and Sandi Vanderleest.  Fond brother in law of Corrie and Joe DaCosta.  Uncle to Khala, Caeleb and Isaac.  Best buddy and wrestling companion of Jon Niebrzydowski and childhood friend of Bob McLean.  Treasured by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends may visit at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Words of remembrance in the chapel beginning at 7:30 pm. Ed would approve if you wore your favourite bands t-shirts. Memorial contributions would be appreciated for a trust fund for the children and will be given to Amanda or contributions to ARCH (payable by cheque) would also be appreciated.  Special thanks to Dr. Apostle and the wonderful care from the staff at ARCH.
