Peacefully, at the F. J. Davey Home, on January 10, 2021 in her 97th year, spending her last days in the tender loving care of her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Carmen and Sylvia. Ida was surrounded by the spirit of her beloved family who could not be with her. 

Born on March 7, 1924, to Pasquale and Clementina in Donnici Superiore, Calabria, Italy.  

Beloved wife of the late Frank (“Ciccillo”) Belsito.

Devoted mother to Connie Celli (Tony), Carmen (Sylvia), Marisa and John (Lina) of Oakville.

Proud Nonna of Anna-Lisa Christilaw (Adrian) of Banff, Albert Celli (Carla) of Ottawa, Carrie Di Franco (Mario) of St. Catharines and Anthony Celli (Sarah), Frank (Jessica) and Carla Pagliaro (Eugene), Ernesto DiBerardino (Rachel), Matthew DiBerardino (Candace) and Lisa DiBerardino (Ryan), Meagan (Daniel) and Chelsea of Oakville. Loving Great Nonna to 19.

Predeceased by adored siblings Maria Greco (late Francesco), Umberto Salituri, Attilio Salituri (Carmella) and Franco Salituri (late Emma). Ida had many special in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Ida will be fondly remembered for her incredible strength, devotion to family, exceptional Italian cooking, boundless energy, infectious laughter, generosity and soft skin.

Sincere appreciation to the whole team at the F. J. Davey Home and especially the Third Floor Birch for their care during her final years.

Deepest thanks to Father Pat Woods for beautifully guiding Ida through her final prayers and blessings.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held with Father Eric Pannike officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
