Peacefully at Algoma Residential Community Hospice after a long courageous battle with his family by his side on Sunday, November 29, 2020, just 2 weeks shy of his 85th birthday.

He will be forever missed by his loving wife Neyda Allinotte (late Mary-Jo Raymond).  Loving father of Todd (Monica Backer).  Dear stepfather of Tracey McKiddie (Vernon Bailey) and Roy McKiddie (Geri), Proud Grandpa of Brooke Bellerose (Dom).  Dear Papa of Laura Feltham, Sara Feltham,  Neil Michal McKiddie and Tomas McKiddie.  Son of the late Joseph and late Georgina (late Clifford).  Dear brother of Julia Badinski (Frank), late Joyce LaPlante (late Don), Phillip Bellerose (Joyce), Patricia Bisaillon (Albert), Robbie Jondreau and late Tom Jondreau (Kathy).  Brother-in-law to Michael Raymond (Alda-Mae), Neila Valley (Francis), late Norma Vallee (late Paul) and John Allinotte (Nancy).  Fun loving uncle to many.

Bernie was a hard working man.  He spent many years at Algoma Steel, Sears and Soo Van.  He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humour, being a prankster and having a quick wit which continued to display even throughout his illness.  He was thankful for his family and friends and loved spending time with everyone.  He was loved by many, as people tended to gravitate to him because of his joy for life.  Bernie and Neyda enjoyed their casino bus trips and they had a passion for dancing whenever the opportunity arose.  He was a generous man that was demonstrated as he was a leading blood donor.  He would always lend a helping hand to those in need including strangers.  He enjoyed a good challenge, was proud of his garden, enjoyed all the people he met while managing hockey teams and was a season ticket holder for the Soo Greyhounds since 1972.
