Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday May 11, 2018 in his 90th year. Loving husband of Clare (nee Wright) and the late Elinore (nee Fawcett). Caring father of Allen (Ola), David (late Megan), Kenneth (Lea), Nancy Merrett (Travis), Anneke deZeeuw, Margriet deZeeuw-Wright (Michael) and Linda Brennan (Buddy). Proud grandpa of Conor, Alexandra, Catherine, Andrew, Steven, Stephanie, Jessica, Jennifer, Julian and Abigail. Great grandpa of seven. Dear brother of the late Tom (Donna), Allen (Joanne), late Fred (Anne), late Douglas (Gloria). Predeceased by his parents Charles and Euphemia Bell and his aunt Esther Burrowes. Bill will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and the Fawcett and Wright families. He had a career with the Algoma District School Board for over 38 years as a teacher, principal and superintendent. He loved the outdoors, especially his camp at Dayton. Friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 10 am. Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Memorial contributions to A.R.C.H. or S.A.H. Cancer Care Fund would be greatly appreciated.
