Passed away peacefully at home on Saturday November 12th, 2022, at the age of 60. Loving Father of Holly, Rayanne and Taylor with whom he had a very special relationship with, and he was very proud of his little nurse. Brother of David, uncle to Savanna, stepbrother of Sherri and Paula. Friend to Kerry. Predeceased by his mother Denise, father William and stepmother Patrica.
Doug had a love for animals and was never without a pet, Bentley, Bella and Rebel being the latest in a long line. He was an intelligent, hardworking guy and an excellent problem solver. He loved to drive and spent many years driving truck and plowing Highway 17 at various locations. His love for hockey was marred by his cheering for the Leafs. They never failed to fail him, but he didn't give up on them.
Doug lived life on his own terms, was full of adventure and had so many stories to tell. He could get along with anyone and made friends easily. Although he is gone now, he will be remembered fondly by everyone that loved him. When you think of Doug, smile, and know that he is smiling too!
Cremation will take place and a celebration of life may take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
