Peacefully at Woodingford Lodge Nursing Home in Woodstock, Ontario on Thursday, October 24, 2019. Beloved son of the late George and Sofie Barich. Cherished husband of Barbara. Loving brother of Mary Ault (late Ronald), Agnes Glibota (Peter), Rudy Barich (Jill) and predeceased by Peter Barich (late Betty), Helen Barich, Ann Rushon (late Allan) and Fred Barich (Virginia). Son in law of the late Bill and Betty Hannan of Toronto, Ontario. Brother in law of Janis Hannan. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. George started his teaching career in Sault Ste Marie and retired teaching in London. George and Barbara spent over 20 years in Lakeland, Florida and made many friends, entertained family and enjoyed watching his beloved Detroit Tigers. He was an avid sports fan and he will be remembered locally for his basketball coaching and playing for the Collegiate Wildcats. At George's request there will be no formal funeral service. Cremation has occurred. A Celebration of George's Life will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque) to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
