ALTON, Joan

Joan went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital with her family by her side on Thursday May 26, 2022, at the age of 76. Beloved wife and best friend of Rod Alton. Loving mother of Katie (Bryan) and Chris (Donna) and grandmother of Amos Graham. Predeceased by her parents John and Evelyn McKenney. Sister of Judith (Gerard) Milandre and Dr. Janice McKenney (Willard Broucek). Aunt of Marin, Simeon, Sheila and Scott.

Joan will be missed by her many friends and family.  She loved to care for her dogs, cats and her wonderful gardens.

Family and friends are invited to Bethel Bible Chapel (686 Black Road) on Wednesday June 1, 2022, from 10:00am until the time of the service at 11:00am.  Interment in Greenwood Cemetery following the service and luncheon.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Sault Area Hospital and Extendicare Mapleview for the care and compassion given to them.
