Peacefully passed away at Geraldton District Hospital / John Owens Evans Residence in Geraldton, Ontario on Saturday, August 11, 2018. Loving husband of 59 years to Ann Aaltonen. Cherished father of David (Jennifer), Brian (Janette), Chris (Kimberley) and Jason (Joanna). Proud Poppa of Dawn, Erik (Stephanie), Jacob, Seija, Aidan, Aaron, Brayden, Shakira, Serenity and Storm. Special Poppa Don to Ellie. Brother of Bob (Gail) and brother-in-law and surrogate dad to Lynne Corvetti (Patrick). Uncle Don to Todd, Kevin, Alisa and Beth. Retired Captain of the 49th Field Artillery Regiment and also retired from Algoma Steel after 38 years of service.
