Canada's women's lacrosse team undefeated through two World Cup games

GUILDFORD, United Kingdom — Alie Jimerson had four points to lead Canada to a 10-6 win over Wales on Friday at the FIL Rathbones Women's Lacrosse World Cup.

Midfielder Kay Morissette, who controlled 10 of 14 draws, earned game MVP honours for the Canadians, who are unbeaten through their first two games. Megan Kinna added three points, and Erica Evans and Dana Dobbie each scored twice.

"One of the things we're learning now is how to be patient with our offence," said Jimerson. "The chemistry is still building. We have to wait for the right cutter, at the right time, instead of forcing it."

The Canadians beat Australia 9-5 on Thursday. They're back in action on Saturday against Scotland.
