WINMAR Sault Ste. Marie set a goal to raise $15,000.00 at their 4th annual Charity Golf Tournament this year and that is exactly what they did… and more!

The charity golf tournament was held on June 2 at Crimson Ridge and funds were raised by businesses and individuals sponsoring holes, registering teams and playing games throughout the course.

To date, this has been their largest and most successful event yet.

WINMAR partnered with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie North to raise funds for Pauline’s Place, a local shelter for youth, women and families who are experiencing a housing crisis.

WINMAR approached Rotary North about contributing an additional donation for the cause. Rotary put forth $15,000 that was presented to Pauline’s Place back in June.

Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) sponsored the hole-in-one prizes that included golfing trips, apparel and shopping sprees and they also provided a $1,000 donation.

After collecting the funds raised from the Golf Tournament, Rotary North and RBC; Pauline’s Place will be receiving a grand total of $31,000 in donations.

We want to thank all of the businesses and individuals who took part and to the volunteers who helped out this year because this would not have been possible without you.
