Fire Marshal Ross Nichols celebrated the 20th anniversary of Fire Safety Awards.

Individuals and organizations were recognized and honoured for outstanding contributions that they had made towards fire safety, prevention and carbon monoxide awareness in the province.

In total, 16 brave and deserving recipients gathered at the Famous Players Theatre in Toronto to receive their awards.

Dino Biasucci of Winmar - Sault Ste. Marie was awarded with the Fire Safety Award for supporting and funding advertising costs for the annual 12 Days of Holiday Fire Safety campaign in Sault Ste. Marie.

Dino has funded this campaign annually since 2012 helping the Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services reduce fire losses during the holiday season by providing local residents with daily fire safety tips.

"Mr. Biasucci is a leader in his community and his dedication to fire safety is commendable" said Ross Nichols Fire Marshall and Chief, Emergency Management. "His funding and generosity are helping make the city a safer community for everyone."
