NEWS RELEASE

BAYLISS PUBLIC LIBRARY

****************************
On January 13, at 7 p.m., the Sault Naturalists Club of Ontario and Michigan will host nature photographer Steffon McGregor at Bayliss Public Library, an affiliate of Superior District Library.

Mr. McGregor will speak about “What Makes a Great Wildlife Photograph?”

A self-taught photographer, he grew up in the Northern Ontario landscape and enjoyed the many photographing opportunities it provided.

As a young boy in Bruce Mines, Ontario, he was given the opportunity to explore nearby forests and its treasures.

These outings matured into an appreciation of wild places and the desire to share his experiences with others through his camera lens.

“My ultimate goal for wildlife photography is to convey to the viewer a sense of the animals’ character or emotion within the image,” stated Steffon McGregor.

This program will be an opportunity to learn from a master photographer.

The event is free and open to the public.

Refreshments will be provided.

The Sault Naturalists Club of Ontario and Michigan meets periodically in the Community Room at Bayliss Library, to discuss and enjoy the natural history of Northern Ontario and Michigan.

Bayliss Public Library, an affiliate of the Superior District Library, is located at 541 Library Drive in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

For more information, call 906-632-9331 or check the website www.baylisslibrary.org.
