Wawa students go wild at Michipicoten River

ÉS Saint-Joseph students obtain basic canoe certification

Students at École secondaire Saint-Joseph (Wawa) recently lived an extraordinary outdoor learning experience. They travelled to the mouth of the Michipicoten River to obtain their basic canoe certification. The instructors, Callie and Rupert from Naturally Superior Adventures, taught them many essential skills, including how to rescue a capsized canoe.

Les élèves de l’école secondaire Saint-Joseph (Wawa) ont vécu une expérience extraordinaire dernièrement. Ils se sont rendus à l’embouchure de la rivière Michipicoten afin d’obtenir leur certification de base en canotage. Les instructeurs, Callie et Rupert de chez Naturally Superior Adventures, leur ont enseigné plusieurs techniques essentielles y compris comment s’y prendre pour secourir un canot chaviré.
