The Sault Ste. Marie Public Library just launched the circulation of disc golf kits. Each kit comes with a driver disc, a mid-range disc, a putter disc, instructions and score cards.

The kits can be rented out for 14 days with a Sault Ste. Marie Public Library card from the James L. McIntyre Centennial Library, the Korah Branch Library and the North Branch Library when it opens later this year.

The Disc Golf Kits are being added to the growing number of active lifestyle rental items available at the library which also includes urban walking poles, pedometers and Hub Trail audio (walking/biking) tours.

Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore Sault Disc Golf Course at the Penhorwood Park - Corner of Pine Street and MacDonald Avenue is Sault Ste. Marie's first disc golf course.

It is a par 36, 12 hole beginner to mid-level course. During the month of June, rent a disc golf kit, urban walking poles or a pedometer from the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library and receive a ballot for a prize basket.
