USW donates to three local charities

USW Local 9548 President, Cody Alexander and Recording Secretary, Eugene Caputo presented cheques Apr. 18, 2017 on behalf of their membership to three local charities.

Best for Kids received $1,000 to buy and repair bicycles and to purchase helmets and locks for area children. The cheque was presented to Virginia McLeod, Manager of Recreation and Culture, Community Services Department of Sault Ste. Marie.

Christina Couto, from the Centre for Social Justice and Good Works was presented a cheque for $500 for programs to promote physical outdoor activities for youth.

Cystic Fibrosis’ Sponsorship Coordinator, Darren Seabrook accepted a cheque for $1,000.
