Uride, Canada’s fastest-growing rideshare company, is building a presence in Sault Ste. Marie and looking to recruit local drivers. In order to build the company’s first local crew, Sault College Employment Solutions and Uride will be hosting a job fair on Wednesday, Jan. 8 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Employment Solutions office, located at 421 Bay Street in the fourth floor of Station Tower.

Using their own vehicles, Uride drivers are able to work a schedule of their choosing and get paid on a weekly basis. In addition to flexible working times, Uride also takes the lowest commissions from its drivers, leading to higher earnings. The company is looking to hire approximately 15 drivers for its initial Sault Ste. Marie operation, with both full-time and part-time drivers being sought.

To be eligible to drive for Uride, applicants must be at least 25 years of age, with a full G class license and at least three years of driving experience. Applicants must also have a good driving record and be able to pass a criminal background check.

Vehicles used by drivers must have four doors with a minimum of four passenger seats and be 10 years of age or newer with fewer than 250,000 kilometers on the odometer. For more details on requirements and licensing, please visit: https://uridetech.com/sault-ste-marie/

Those interested in becoming a Uride driver should attend at the Employment Solutions office on Jan. 8 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Please bring a resume that details relevant skills and qualifications. Representatives from Uride will be on site to conduct interviews with applicants who meet job qualifications.
