NEWS RELEASE

2310 ROYAL CANADIAN ARMY CADETS CORPS

*************************
On the evening of Friday, Sept. 29 and all day Saturday, Sept. 30, cadets from the 2310 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps will be posted at retail stores and establishments around town offering their donation tags.

Supporters receive a tag for their donation to the corps. This is a primary fundraiser for the corps and assists in extra costs to ensure our cadets can enjoy every aspect of the program with no financial constraints.

Tag Day is an opportunity for both fundraising and part of public outreach.  We invite the community to take this opportunity to speak with our cadets and learn about this exciting youth program

The Army Cadet Program teaches young people the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment while promoting self-esteem, teamwork and self-discipline.

Cadets get the opportunity to participate in sports and fitness, pipe and drum band, Highland dance, orienteering, biathlon, expeditions and more.

It is a free program open to boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18. The 2310 Army Cadet Corps meets Monday nights at 6:30 p.m. at the Sault Armoury (375 Pine St.). New recruits are welcome to attend any Monday night.
