Summer reading challenges start next week

The Sault Ste. Marie Public Library’s teen summer reading challenge kicks off on Monday, July 8, 2019.

Complete the challenge of the week and enter our weekly draw for a chance to win a cool gift card and an item from the Teen Prize Box!

The challenge of the week will be posted every Monday in the Teen Space at the James L. McIntyre Centennial Library and the Korah Branch Library, on Facebook, and at www.ssmpl.ca. Winners will be announced on Tuesday afternoons for the previous week’s challenge.

How to enter:

• In person at the James L. McIntyre Centennial Library or Korah Branch Library. Check the teen space for the ballot box!
• By e-mail: [email protected]. Be sure to include your name, contact information and completed challenge.
• Message your completed challenge to the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library on Facebook (@SSMPL).

Participants are encouraged to read at their own reading level and in any format – books, eBooks, and audiobooks. Check out our challenges and get reading.

From July 1 - Aug. 31, the James L. McIntyre Centennial Library and Korah Branch Library will be offering the Summer Reading Challenge for adults, ages 19-99!

Choose from a variety of reading challenges, like reading a book about Sault Ste. Marie, reading an inspirational novel, reading a book that was published the year you were born, or step back in time and reread your favourite childhood book.

Pick up your Summer Reading Challenge Cards at either library to begin your summer reading adventures. Complete as many of the challenges as you would like.

Hand in your challenge cards at any time throughout the summer until Aug. 31. Each challenge completed will earn you a ballot for a chance to win one of three beautiful gift baskets, valued at $25, $50 or $75.
