Students turn virtual math lessons into a delicious treat (6 photos)

SooToday received the following message and photos from Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon:

Grade 5 students pursuing their learning online at Conseil scolaire catholique’s Nouvelon’s Académie virtuelle, recently put their knowledge of measurements into practice.

As part of their mathematics class, students converted various measurements such as from cups to milliliters as they prepared and measured the quantities of various ingredients needed to make a delicious vanilla cake.

Although online students undertaking this mathematics exercise live in different northern Ontario communities, their passion for cooking brought them closer during this delicious learning activity.
