STRIVE YOUNG PROFESSIONALS GROUP

Declare your candidacy to be elected to the Strive Executive.

Strive YPG works to assist young professionals (19-40) in reaching higher potential through community development, networking events, training opportunities, and recognizing achievements for the purpose of attraction and retention in the community. As the voice of young professionals, Strive works with government officials and community stakeholders to represent important issues to the young workforce.

Strive encourages nominees from across Algoma from different sectors (including health care, trades, education, finance, communications, public service, science and environmental studies, community and social services, and more) and with diverse backgrounds.

We are seeking nominees for the following positions:

  • Finance officer
  • Events officer
  • Advocacy officer
  • Communications officer
  • Vice-chair
  • Member at large (one-year term)

We are looking for a diverse group of young professionals who are passionate about Sault Ste. Marie, developing our workforce, advocating on behalf of other young professionals, and creating an environment to recognize and celebrate other high achievers. Board experience is not required. Positions will be held for two-year terms.

Voting will take place at this year’s Strive AGM. Member at large will be appointed by the executive committee post-AGM.
