St. Vincent Place is excited to officially announce The Fight Hunger Games 2021! This two-part fundraising event is a great way to raise funds for a local organization while having COVID-safe fun at home.

Part one of the Fight Hunger Games is a game-a-thon. Bring together your team - keeping COVID regulations in mind - choose a game to commit to playing and for how long, then collect pledges.

The longer you play, the more you raise, and games can be anything from Monopoly to Mario Kart. Participants can choose the date that works for them between June 1 and 13.

Part two will be a Fortnite tournament, to be held the weekend of June 12 and 13. There will be two age brackets: 13 and under and 14 and over. Each tournament participant will have a one- to two-hour window in which to play three ‘solo’ rounds of Fortnite, and the average of their scores will determine their placement in the tournament.

Because players won’t be able to come together for an in-person tournament, entrants will be required to send photo proof of their scores to tournament organizers.

For more information or to sign up for either part of the fundraiser, head to our website at https://www.vincentplacessm.ca/the-fight-hunger-games-2-0/.

All funds raised in the Fight Hunger Games will support St. Vincent Place’s Lunches for Learning program, which provides school-safe lunch packages to 35 local families every week.
