Sault organizing basketball games to engage newcomers

Newcomers Basketball Tournament starts on Oct. 2 at 8:30 a.m. at the HWC Gym of Sault College; admission is free

Sault Ste Marie and Area Local Immigration Partnership are hosting a Newcomers Basketball Tournament to engage newly arrived residents and help them meet other newcomers.

The event kicks off on Oct. 2 at 8:30 a.m. at the HWC Gym of Sault College.

It is an all-ages event, and admission is free.

Sault Ste Marie and Area Local Immigration Partnership are hosting a Newcomers Basketball Tournament on Sunday, Oct. 2, a day for newcomer awareness, interaction and engagement to help enrich the newcomer experience here in the Soo. This event is open to all members of the community for the love of the game. 

This is an all-ages event held at the HWC Gym, Sault College (443 Northern Ave. E., Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6B 4J3), starting at 8:30 a.m.  Everyone is welcome to attend, and admission is free! There will be half-time fun activities, henna art, face painting, refreshments, and memories for the Fall!

The Newcomers Basketball Tournament will be a great time of games and interaction for all and an opportunity to meet other newcomers and available service providers and have some fun too.
