SAULT AREA HOSPITAL FOUNDATION
On Sept. 29, local fashionistas sipped, shopped and scored great savings all while supporting the Sault Area Hospital Foundation’s first annual Cardiac Clothing Collective.
“Thanks to all the fabulous women that came out. We were thrilled with the turn out,” said co-host Dr. Joanna Lamberts. “Guests were lining up well before the doors opened and once inside, the place was hopping.” Shoppers purchased pre-loved clothing accessories at a fraction of the original price and bid on specialty items at the silent auction.
The first-time event raised more than $11,000.
Downtown shop owner Daryl Wier from 49th Apparel worked his magic and transformed the Machine Shop’s mezzanine level into a stylish boutique. “Next time is going to be even more fabulous. Stayed tuned, shoppers…”
“We are fortunate to live in such a generous community,” said co-host Dr. Bridget Lamberts. “Proceeds raised will support cardiac services and help keep local patients close to home for treatment.”
Cheryl Pavoni, executive director, SAH Foundation said, “The provincial government does not fully fund the purchase of capital equipment – the tools our caregivers need to care for patients. The reality is, the support of everyone from events like this one, will ensure that our community gets the care they need and deserve.”
A special thank you goes out to the local dental community and the generous downtown businesses that donated to our silent auction: Dr. Mary Catherine Glibota, Barzan Family Dentistry, Family Dental on Bay, Dr. John Fabbro, Dr. Bridget Lamberts, Dr. Joanna Lamberts, Drs. Michael and Melissa O’Toole, Dr. Riley Schaffer, Dr. Jen Jonusaitis, Dr. Patience Simpson, Tamar’s Trends, Fit Bodies, Fit Minds, RAM Fitness, Norpro, Dr. Diana Paczesny, Laser Advantage, Brie Gallagher, Jessica Dias, Karen and Jackie McAndrew and Savoy’s Jewellers.
