Over the last couple of months, various local organizations and businesses have participated in food drives in support of the Soup Kitchen and have challenged others to participate. Well, challenge accepted!

Ross Romano, MPP for Sault Ste. Marie and his staff invite constituents to join them Friday, Dec. 15 from 1 to 4 p.m. to canvas our generous community members for non-perishable food items to donate to the Soup Kitchen.

As such, the constituency office will close Dec. 15 at 12 p.m. to prepare for this worthwhile cause. We encourage those who wish to volunteer along with us to contact the office no later than Thursday, Dec. 14 at 4:30 p.m. at 705-949-6959 or email us at [email protected] for further information.

Ross and his team will be arriving the Soup Kitchen at approximately 4:15 p.m. for the final count of their collection and present the kitchen with the donations.

“This is a time for giving and I hope to see many volunteers join us,” said Romano. “Let’s do something great for our city.”
