4:10 p.m. update:

Sault Police have advised that the site crashed shortly after launching.

Spokesperson Lincoln Louttit says they are working on getting the site back up and running.

Original 2:30 p.m. release:

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is happy to announce the online auction platform is now live. After several test auctions in previous months, we are now ready to list all eligible seized and/or recovered property and evidence for bid.

You can view auction items and all of the rules, policies and frequently asked questions at saultpolice.ca/auction.

Potential bidders must register and provide their name, valid email address and a phone number before they are able to place a bid.

Auction winners will be notified by email. All payments will be processed using PayPal as part of our checkout process.

Please check back regularly as new items will be posted as we are eligible to make them available for auction.
