If you purchased your winter tires at OK Tire located at 92 Second Line, then you also helped those in our community facing cancer.

The relatively new locally owned business, embarked on a journey to raise funds for cancer research through the sale of winter tires in our community.

By offering to donate ‘a buck a tire,’ or one dollar from the purchase of every winter tire sold, the company successfully raised $1,500 for cancer research during the month of December.

“We decided to do this not only because of our family’s connection to cancer and how we have been affected personally, but also because we are a locally owned family business that wanted to give back to our community,” says Frank Bitonti (Manager)

The Canadian Cancer Society is looking forward to working with OK Tire in the future when they run the campaign again.

“We will certainly run the fundraising campaign again next year. We hope to make this an annual fundraiser to show our support for people in the Sault facing cancer. The goal for next season is $3,000; double of what we did this last season,” Bitonti says.

OK Tire Sault Ste. Marie, winners of the Bridgestone and OK Tire Rising Star of the Central Region awards for 2013 is a one-stop source for all tire and auto repair needs.

OK Tire is locally owned and operated by long time owners of Bitonti Motors, John Bitonti and sons.

They have been involved in the automotive business for over 20 years and are happy to serve Sault Ste Marie and area.
