Headlines Hair and Day Spa and Azure Medispa are joining forces in one location to create a new spa experience for Sault Ste. Marie residents.

Starting Sept. 19, 2017, both businesses will be moving into the former Northern Credit Union building at 480 Bay St. The space has been completely transformed and redesigned into a luxurious oasis for all to enjoy.

Dr. Kent Floreani, a local orthodontist and businessman, purchased Headlines Hair and Day Spa earlier this year with the intention of creating a single space where clients could receive both regular day spa/salon services as well as medical spa services.

With help from Andrea Niro for interior design and Dave Ellis as the architect; the unique look of the space can be seen from the moment you walk in.

Dr. Floreani, owner of both businesses, spoke about the new location. “People in the community know I take pride in what I do, that I emphasize the customer experience and love to work in a beautiful physical space. My team and I wanted to create such a space that our clients would enjoy and feel relaxed in. Many will get a kick out of the fact that we kept the bank vault and incorporated it into the new design! We also understand some Azure clients prefer to be a little more discrete about the services we perform; we kept that in mind for the design and added a separate VIP entrance as well as a completely separate waiting room and treatment rooms.”

Karen Kinnunen, the Manager of Headlines Hair and Day Spa is also excited about the move. She says, “It’s bitter sweet, since we will be leaving a location behind that we’ve been in for over 30 years. But our team is excited to about the new location and to provide hair styling and new spa services in a brand-new space!”

Dr. Floreani had this to say about expanding. “No business in the Sault is like ours. We’re now able to offer both hair and day spa services as well as medical spa treatments under one roof and sometimes in the same visit. Our goal is to offer residents in Sault Ste. Marie a different level of customer experience; we definitely want to raise the bar! We will continue to grow both our medical treatment options as well as our aesthetic treatment options with the new location.”

In addition to offering popular treatments such as laser treatment and hair and skin care treatments, both Azure and Headlines have expanded their service menu already to include the latest in esthetics, such as microblading, lash lifts and tints, sclerotherapy and Aveda skin treatments.

Karen Kinnunen commented on the new services expected with the move; “We are looking to make a few changes, but most of our spa treatments will remain the same. We’re also expanding some services immediately by adding microblading, eyelash extensions and lash lifts and tints to our menu. We recognize that being able to wake up in the morning without having to put on mascara or fill in your eyebrows is like a dream come true for most of our female clients!”

The new location will feature high-tech treatment rooms and salon chairs to accommodate even more clients. Hair services are being expanded as new techniques and equipment are brought in. There will also be separate rooms available just for bridal parties.

Both Azure and Headlines will continue to offer exclusive brands and products for retail sale, such as the Aveda Hair and Make-up line, Goldwell’s Kerasilk treatments, and SkinMedica skin-care products.

The new business hours for both Azure Medispa and Headlines Hair and Day Spa can be seen here.
