The Francophonie and Catholicism occupy an important place in daily teaching at École Saint-Joseph (Blind River). Since the onset of the pandemic, it has been difficult for students to participate in church activities and services. However, by using technology, schools can fully live their faith while adhering to health protocols.

Informed that Bishop Thomas Dowd, the new bishop of the Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie, would be interviewed during the broadcast of "L’Église diocésaine" (The Diocesan Church), the students preparing for confirmation wanted to know him.

While learning about his professional and religious journey, students discovered that the new bishop enjoys baking and that his favourite sport is curling. The students then sent in questions they hope Bishop Dowd will answer in this interview.

The Grade 7 and 8 students will soon have the chance to connect with Bishop Dowd virtually via Teams. École Saint-Joseph's students are eager to meet and discuss with the new bishop.
