NEWS RELEASE

MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY

*************************
MAY IS MS AWARENESS MONTH THOUGH OUT CANADA.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling autoimmune disease, which attacks it's own central nervous system (CNS), disrupting the flow of information within the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves.

MS can affect vision, hearing, memory, balance and mobility, which progressively stresses physical, emotional, financial and family well-being.

An estimated 100,000 Canadians, from children to adults, are living with MS; one of the highest rates in the world.

With women being diagnosed about three times as often as men, every year the MS Society of Canada's Carnation Campaign takes place over Mother's Day weekend as a very important fundraiser.

CURRENTLY THERE IS NO CURE, but with your help, those with MS might find a better quality of life and give researchers means to find a cure.

We are offering several sizes of cut Carnation bouquets, mixed flower bouquets and potted mini-Carnation plants.

Go to Station Mall Centre Court, May 8 & 9, 2015 from 9:30AM-5PM.

Please help raise awareness about Multiple Sclerosis by purchasing Carnations from our local MS Self-Help Support Group and together we will generate hope for a better future.
