NEWS RELEASE
A VERY MERRY MOVIE NIGHT
*************************
Celebrate the holiday season with friends and family while enjoying the 1990s classic Home Alone on The Grand Theatre’s big screen in support of Christmas Cheer. A Very Merry Movie Night takes place on Friday, Dec. 6. Tickets are $15 and include one bag of festive popcorn.

The night kicks off at 7 p.m. with festive treats and holiday cocktails available for purchase from the lobby. Moviegoers can grab movie snacks and load up their free bag of popcorn with holiday toppings. The talented John Barban and Byron Jääskeläinen will lead the audience in some very merry caroling, followed by Home Alone at 8 p.m. on the big screen!

Christmas Cheer provides disadvantaged families in our area with a complete turkey dinner, as well as mittens and toys for the children. In addition to raising money through ticket sales, there will be a Christmas Cheer Drop Box in the lobby.

“We are always in need of gifts for the older children and teens,” shared Diane Marshall, Christmas Cheer Convenor, “hair accessories, gels, grooming products, shaving lotions, adults’ mitts, and of course we always need batteries. We put batteries in all the toys and games that require them. How disappointing it would be to receive such a gift on Christmas morning, and not be able to play with it! We need a few thousand batteries, especially AA, and AAA's each year.”

Tickets can be purchased online at www.averymerrymovienight.ca or with cash at one of these local businesses: Big Lake Cabin, Case's Music, OutSpoken Brewing, Queens East Coffee and Clothes, Shabby Motley Handcraft, Sweet Greetings & The Loons Nest, and Winnie B's Vintage Emporium.
