Algoma Family Services will be offering the Mental Health First Aid Course for Adults Who Interact with Youth on Thursday, August 20 and Friday, August 21 from 9-5 p.m.

Registration is $75 per participant with lunch and materials provided each day.

There are only 24 spots available and participation is open to the general public.  

The MHFA Course will take place at Algoma Family Services located on 205 McNabb Street.

All participants will receive certification for the MHFA course following completion of the 14-hour course.

The MHFA Course offers explanations of mental health, mental illness and mental health problems, signs and symptoms of common mental health problems and crisis situations, information about effective intervention and treatments, and ways to access professional help.
