LSFSC figure skaters return home with medals

LAKE SUPERIOR FIGURE SKATING CLUB

Three figure skaters - Star 5 O13 Emily Arbour, Star 2 Jordyn Zeppa and adult figure skater Jonathan Keuhl - represented the Lake Superior Figure Skating Club (LSFSC) at Skate LaSalle in LaSalle, Ont. this weekend.

Emily Arbour is vying for a spot to qualify for provisionals for her free skate and artistic. Skate Ontario Provincial Championships will be held in Stratford, Ont., March 24-26, 2023, for Star 5-Gold and Pre-Juvenile to Senior.

Head coach, Kerry Bain, was very pleased with the results of the skaters over the weekend. The skaters were great ambassadors of LSFSC, they skated very well, and some personal best scores were achieved.

The results were as follows:

• Jordyn Zeppa - Star 2 Free BRONZE, Star 2 Elements SILVER, Creative Improve 1 SILVER
• Emily Arbour - Star 5 O13 Free 4th, Star 5 Artistic 6th, Creative Improve 2 GOLD, Star 5 Elements SILVER
• Jonathan Keuhl - Adult Men’s Silver Free GOLD, Adult Men’s Silver Artistic GOLD

The next Skate Ontario Provincial Series competition for the LSFSC skaters will be Thunder Bay Open in March 3-5, 2023. Jonathan Keuhl will be competing at the Skate Ontario Adult Championships in Kanata, Ont., March 3-4, 2023.
