Little Diggers Day returns to the Sault

Equipment World Constructing a Family Fun Event in support of local Habitat for Humanity Build

Equipment World Inc. hosted an event targeted at young children and their families last June in hopes of raising funds and awareness for the local Habitat for Humanity core Build program in Sault Ste. Marie.

Little did they expect to Dig Up so many people interested in Construction Equipment and supporting a charity!

The event in 2015 raised $4,000, with more awareness of the event, added sponsors and more on-site fundraising activities, this year Equipment World hopes to double that amount!

The event is being held on Tuesday June 23, 2015 from 2:00-6:00pm at the Equipment World location at 235 Drive-In Road.

“There will be a lot of activities offered at the Little Diggers Day event this year and it is very important for parents & caregivers to pre-register for the event online to ensure they reserve the items and activities they want to participate in” states Marketing Director of Equipment World, Heather Syvitski. “Everyone can register in advance online at www.equipworld.com/diggers1. Some items are limited in quantity and notice will be given when they are no longer available. Everyone who registers will receive a confirmation email to ensure their registration was captured. Any reserved items not claimed by 4 p.m. the day of the event will be released to the public for sale.”

Branch manager, Aaron Wise explains some of the many activities available at the event.

“Admission to the event is only $1 per child and that allows access to a number of activities on-site like playing in our giant sandbox full of toys, building with large and small boxes in our construction zone and children can sit in our Construction Equipment on display. We also have the Sault Public Library and Childcare Algoma at the event offering some free, child-friendly activities. In addition to other activities by donation, we will be hosting a BBQ for families to enjoy some food to further raise funds for the charity.”

Equipment World is a big supporter of each of the communities in which they live and do business.

With headquarters in Thunder Bay, Equipment World believes in supporting a variety of charities within Northern Ontario.

The Sault Ste. Marie location is well represented in the community through the participation in many different events each year.
