Library offering free Spanish classes

SAULT STE MARIE PUBLIC LIBRARY

The Sault Ste. Marie Public Library has partnered with the Northern Hispanic Culture Association to bring you free Spanish language classes for adults and children!

For adults, there will be two beginner-level classes offered. The first will run on Tuesday evenings, from Feb. 19 to April 23, from 5-6:30 p.m. A second beginner-level class will run on Thursday evenings, from Feb. 21 to April 25, from 7-8:30 p.m.

Also for adults, an intermediate, conversational-level class will run on Thursday evenings, from Feb. 21 to April 25, from 5-6:30 p.m.

Classes will take place at the James L. McIntyre Centennial Library, 50 East Street. Registration and a valid library membership are required, as space is limited.

Registration for adult beginner and intermediate classes begins on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 9 a.m. Please call the Reference and Information Department at 705-759-5236 to reserve your space, or drop by the library to sign up and register for a library card.

A Spanish language class for children ages 7-11 will run every Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. in the Children’s Department at the James L. McIntyre Centennial Library. Classes run from Saturday, Feb. 23 to April 27.

Registration for children’s classes begins on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 9 a.m. Please call the Children’s Desk at 705-759-5241 to reserve your space. For more information, please email [email protected].
