NEWS RELEASE

155 AIR CADET SQUADRON

***********************
Come and compete in the 155 Air Cadet Squadron's Paper Airplane Contest and test out your flying skills on the 12th of November from 6:30 p.m. until 9:15 p.m. at the Pine Street Armoury, 375 Pine.

Open to boys and girls aged 11 to 17 years of age, there are three challenging categories with a prize to be awarded to the top flyer in each.

Prior to the competition, a brief lesson will given by one of our cadet pilots on the theory of flight.

You can download the contest rules and your paper air plane to test fly at, www.aircadets.ca/155.

We ask that you register prior to 12 noon on the 12th of November.

There will be light snacks and a chance for you to meet some of the 155 Air Cadets who can explain some of the fun they have participating in the Pipe and Drum Band, Highland Dancing, Range and other activities they do with their friends.

Also hear about the glider flights that happen twice a year.

There will be a cadet who can tell of his accomplishments at earning his Glider and Power Pilots License during summer training.

Learn more about opportunities to participate in various other summer training as well.

You may also see our 155 Air Cadets this weekend assisting the Royal Canadian Legion distributing poppies.

This is a new date as we had to reschedule from the original planned date that was previously sent out to local schools.

There is no cost to enter the contest.

Bring a friend or meet a new one, just come out and have fun.
