NEWS RELEASE

NEIGHBOURHOOD RESOURCE CENTRE

*************************
On June 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., The Neighbourhood Resource Centre, in collaboration with The Soup Kitchen Community Centre, will be hosting the 4th Annual Flower Bomb; a day of collective community action resulting in a renewed and vibrant neighbourhood.

We would like to encourage community members to drop by The Soup Kitchen to donate non-perishable goods and see the Jamestown community in action.

The Jamestown community will be planting and hanging can planters that have been painted by children from the community, cleaning up garbage and weeds, washing windows and participating in other activities for kids.

The continued success of the grassroots organized Flower Bomb, is due to the amazing support from community leaders, businesses, private donations and of course volunteers who pull this all together by showing up to plan, offer their musical and culinary gifts and participate during the clean up and planting.

We extend the biggest of 'thank you's to our organizing team and to our sponsors.
