NEWS RELEASE

SAULT STE MARIE
TENNIS ASSOCIATION

****************************
Sault Ste. Marie Tennis Association announces “Ontario Tennis Association Tennis Instructor’s Course” that will run from February 27 to March 2, 2015 (Friday thru Monday) 8 – 6 p.m. each day.

This course will take place at Algoma University indoor tennis court and will be taught by Andy Sutton, the Head Instructor of the Ontario Tennis Association.

The course presents an excellent opportunity for a participant to make an income teaching tennis.

These Graduate Instructors will be asked to run lessons and camps to be offered on City courts and on the Sault College courts.

Instructors are trained to introduce players to the game using Progressive Tennis in group lessons.

You will learn the leadership skills of an enthusiastic instructor who organizes practice and play; makes tennis accessible and simple to learn; and promotes friendships that support the growth and retention of players.

Candidates need to have basic tennis playing skills, be a minimum of 16 years of age and be interested in teaching athletic skills.

The course cost is $400.

Any qualified candidate who needs support with the cost of the course should make a request to Bill Watts.

This course in Sault Ste Marie gives the participants a lower cost and they avoid the travel and accommodation away to attend a course.

Course graduates receive membership in the Tennis Professional Association which gives them insurance coverage, discounts on tennis equipment and regular communication.

Space for the Tennis Instructor’s Course is limited, so early registration is recommended.

To register contact Bill Watts of the Sault Ste. Marie Tennis Association at [email protected]  or phone or text 705 257-6016.
