Registration is now open for the 16th annual Group Health Centre Pharmacy Charity Golf Classic – on Friday, July 21 at Crimson Ridge Golf Club in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

As one of the longest-running golf tournaments in the Sault Ste. Marie area, this annual event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Group Health Centre Trust Fund. This year’s tournament continues the tradition, with all proceeds helping support the purchase of diagnostic equipment for Group Health Centre.

Your registration fee of $150 per player or $600 per foursome includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, a light breakfast, lunch, and an awards dinner with live music.

Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place teams in the Men’s, Women’s and Mixed categories. There will also individual contests throughout the course, and a hole-in-one prize up for grabs at every Par 3 hole.

New for this year’s tournament is the Pledge-to-Play option, where players can collect $200 in pledges to receive complimentary registration for the day.

For every additional $100 in pledges they collect, they will receive a stroke off of their score for a maximum of 5 strokes per team. The person who brings in the highest amount in pledges will also win a prize.

About Group Health Centre Trust Fund

Group Health Centre Trust Fund was established in June 1979 as a way to raise support for Group Health Centre. The Trust Fund focuses on generating funds for the Centre’s medical equipment, health information programs and other special projects – none of which are covered by government funding.
