StartUP Sault Ste. Marie announced today that their next Startup Book Club on June 25 will be discussing the book, Startup Opportunities: Know When to Quit Your Day Job by Dr. Sean Wise & Brad Feld.
The book is a practical guide to evaluating your business idea and a must-read for all aspiring entrepreneurs.
You’ll learn:
- Why your new venture must follow the 10x Rule in order to be successful.
- How early customer development can transform a good idea into a great opportunity.
- Which opportunities are worth selling everything for, and much more.
“Startup book club is another opportunity to get out and meet other entrepreneurs in the community, while discussing relevant books that can help you start or grow a successful business,” said Nevin Buconjic, StartUP Sault Lead. It’s not necessary to read the book in order to benefit from the informal discussions – just come out and participate!”
“We are also excited to announce that we will be holding a live Skype call with Dr. Sean Wise, who will talk about his book and answer questions,” said Buconjic. ”This is really an amazing opportunity to speak with Dr. Wise who is a professor of Entrepreneurship at Ryerson University, a former consultant to the Dragon’s Den TV show and the host of The Naked Entrepreneur on the Oprah Winfrey Network.”
