Tickets for the 5th annual Hair’s To You fundraiser dinner and wig fashion show are on sale now! Taking place on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Grand Gardens North, this fundraising event supports the College’s Hairstyling Program’s Hair’s To You initiative which helps those affected by hair loss as a result of cancer treatment.

This year’s event will include a four-course meal, thank you gift, inspiring speeches, silent auction, wig fashion show by our alumni and a hair show showcasing the skills of our hairstyling graduating class.

Tickets for the event are $40 each or $375 for a table of ten and can be purchased from staff and students of the Hairstyling program by calling 705.759.2554 extension 2471 or via email at [email protected]. All proceeds will go towards purchasing wigs and supporting local patients in our community.

Through the Hair’s To You program, our faculty and students help to empower individuals and give them confidence and strength throughout their journey. Clients are provided personalized consultations and fittings of wigs and they can choose a wig from our inventory that was purchased through generous donations.

“The Hair’s to You program is extremely meaningful to our College and the staff and students of the Hairstyling program. It is one way we can use our talents to help support our community members particularly those who are going through such a difficult time,” said Jordin Boniferro-Knight, Coordinator/Professor, Hairstyling, Sault College.

“With wigs costing anywhere between $350 for synthetic to $1,200 for human hair, this fundraiser is critical to helping the program achieve its intended goals. By supporting this event, you are not only enriching the lives of people who need this service, but you are also enriching the lives of our students and faculty by helping them experience how a small act utilizing their skills and trade can have a lasting impact on someone’s life,” she added.

Sault College’s wig supply is always in need of new or used wigs for distribution to those undergoing cancer treatment and experiencing hair loss. Donations – both monetary and wigs – are graciously accepted. If you are able to donate to the program, please call 705.759.2554 extension 2471.  A donation receipt will be issued for any monetary donations over twenty dollars.
