Lake Superior State University Aquatic Research Laboratory student workers and fisheries wildlife management majors Mike Schneider (right, with hat) and Will Marosi explain the ARL’s Atlantic salmon operation to prospective students from Quincy, Dexter, and Rapid River, Michigan.

This was part of LSSU’s Fall Fling open house on September 27 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

The annual open house, sponsored by LSSU’s admissions office, attracted almost 100 prospects from all over the region for program overviews, campus tours, home athletic events, and an outdoor barbeque set to a perfect Upper Peninsula fall day.

The ARL releases around 40,000 Atlantic fingerlings like the ones in this picture each June.

Run a Web search on "LSSU admissions" or "LSSU ARL" for information about those topics at Lake State.

Schneider is a senior from Elsie, Michigan, and Marosi is a sophomore from Allen Park, Michigan.
