First-ever Blood, Sweat and Beer charity run happens this fall

Proceeds go to support the Twinkie Foundation and the Algoma Autism Foundation

Registration is now open for the inaugural Blood, Sweat and Beer 5 km charity run/walk which happens on Saturday, Oct. 22 at Root River Golf Club.

The fundraiser for the Twinkie Foundation and the Algoma Autism Foundation includes four stops that will feature beverages from Outspoken Brewing, Kingsville Brewery, Northern Superior Brewing, and Crafty Elk. Participants must be 19 years or older.

The $65 registration fee includes a swag bag, four course beverage station sampler cups, one complimentary after-party beverage, two slices of pizza from Perfecto Pizza, a God’s Country Clothing koozie, one ballot for the grand prize draw, and a donation to the affiliated charities.

The grad prize draw includes a two-night stay at the Quattro Hotel and Conference Centre, a $100 gift certificate for Vinotecca, one complimentary bottle of wine, and a round of golf for two from Root River Golf Club.
