Local fashionistas were out in full force on Sept. 28 at the 2nd annual Cardiac Clothing Collective in support of Sault Area Hospital Foundation.

Shoppers scored deals on pre-loved clothing as the Machine Shop’s mezzanine level was transformed into a stylish boutique.

“We are thrilled with the response to this event,” said co-host Dr. Bridget Lamberts, “and excited to have raised more than $15,000! The proceeds from this year’s event will support the purchase of defibrillators for the hospital.”

Dr. Joanna Lamberts shared her sister’s enthusiasm, adding, “We received more clothing donations, making for a much bigger event. Hopefully the trend continues for years to come!”

New this year, organizers gave the nod to local downtown businesses Laser Advantage, Powder Room Beauty Bar and Minerva Vintage to join in on the fun. Elise Millard’s beauty bar team treated guests to eyebrow and lipstick demonstrations, while Laser Advantage was on hand to answer questions regarding their medspa services. Barb Harrison, owner of Minerva Vintage, showcased unique finds from her downtown shop with a live fashion show.

“They were a great addition to the event,” said Daryl Wier, owner 49th Apparel, “shopping, socializing, supporting local businesses and the hospital, what a great way to spend a Friday night!”

“The Clothing Collective is a terrific example of the community coming together to support local healthcare,” said Cheryl Pavoni, executive director, SAH Foundation. “We are fortunate to have Dr. Joanna Lamberts, Dr. Bridget Lamberts and Daryl Wier as SAHF ambassadors helping in our fundraising efforts.”

A special thank you goes out to Northwood Funeral Home for supporting the event with a $500 donation. Thank you to the local dental community and downtown businesses who generously donated to our silent auction: Dr. Michael Nanne, Dr. John Fabbro, Dr. Bridget Lamberts, Dr. Joanna Lamberts, 49th Apparel, Drs.
