Enjoy a syrupy stack in support of local youth

Pancake breakfast takes place Saturday and Sunday

The Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore will fire up the griddles at Moose Lodge -543 Trunk Road for the annual Pancake Breakfast to raise money for local children’s projects. 

In its 57th year, the Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore will offer pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice for adults $10.00, seniors $8.00, children 5-12 $6.00, Under age five will be free from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday Feb. 1 and Sunday Feb. 2 at Moose Lodge -543 Trunk Road.

“We know kids need Kiwanis, in our community and around the world,” said Giselle Chiarello, President.

This fundraiser provides resources for club projects such as YMCA Kid’s Camp, Terrific Kids Program, highschool scholarships, Splashpad Pavilion, Sault Youth Soccer and Sault Ringette to much a few.

“In an era of municipal and school budget cuts, our club can step in and provide the necessary elements for children to thrive, prosper and grow,” said Past Lt. Governor and Fundraising Chair, David Shier. “Who knew eating pancakes could help so many children.” 

The Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore www.lakeshorekiwanis.com, welcomes new members who want to serve their community. Information about becoming a member is available at Membership Information page on their website or by joining the weekly meeting on Wednesdays from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. at the Marconi Club at 450 Albert Street West, Lounge II Downstairs.
